curt training
CURT offers several opportunities for training and professional development, both online and in the classroom:
- Web-based training - teaches CURT owner member recommended policy, approaches, and practices
- Craft labor forecasting training - demonstrates how to use the CWDC Labor Supply/Demand Forecasting Model
- Workshops - focus on current construction issues which are critically important to owners
web-based training
CURT web-based training is designed to provide an understanding of the critical construction work processes detailed in CURT publications. CURT publications summarize CURT owner members' recommended techniques for managing construction owner responsibilities and work processes. After training, participants will be able to plan, execute, and continuously improve owner systems and processes outlined in the training. CURT owner members serve as instructors for this web-based training. Instructors are subject-matter experts with demonstrated experience and expertise.
You can attend from your location, no travel required. All you need is a telephone, computer with browser installed, and internet access. Each individual session lasts 60-90 minutes, and only 25 spaces are available. Our small classes are designed to encourage interactive classroom dynamics. The cost of training is $199 per session. CURT members and affiliates may use a $50 coupon, which reduces the member price to $149. Review the training schedule for 2010 and register online. Direct questions to Steve Lindholm at .
craft labor forecasting training
Developed in collaboration with the Construction Users Roundtable, the CWDC Labor Supply/Demand Forecasting Model is designed to collect and aggregate information on capital and maintenance projects, as well as craft labor supply data. This tool is unbiased towards union and non-union labor and uses information collected to provide a comprehensive understanding of craft labor supply and demand locally, regionally and nationally. The tool enables the user to graph predictive forecasting trends to eliminate typical "going out of business" curves that frustrate the ability to adequately plan.
Please join us for a free, live, web-based demonstration of the CWDC Craft Labor Supply/Demand Forecasting Model. We will also discuss how the model is used to improve project planning and workforce development. Register for the session that fits your schedule.
workshops
CURT owner member workshops are held several times each year in conjunction with CURT Membership Meetings. Workshops focus on current owner construction issues as identified by the CURT membership in the annual Value Generation Survey. Workshops typically include 30 to 50 participants and are intended to identify member approaches and work processes which address the specific issue being addressed. Often a CURT User Practice is published to summarize the consensus approach of attending members. See the upcoming events for a summary of currently scheduled workshops.
